STEVE AGNEW - Reserve Team Coach
A HUGELY experienced player, Steve Agnew was appointed Reserve team coach in January 2007, taking over the reigns when Colin Cooper moved up to first team level.
This is his second spell at Boro after starting his coaching career with the Academy before moving onto Leeds United as Reserve team manager in 2003.
Agnew started his playing career at Barnsley, staying there for eight years before moving on to Blackburn Rovers for £700,000.
But he made just four appearances in a year-and-a half before joining Portsmouth on loan and then Leicester permanently.
Agnew then moved up to Sunderland where he played for three years followed by another three-year spell at York City, where he finished his playing days.
After moving to Leeds, Agnew left to become assistant manager of Hartlepool United in the summer of 2005.
He rejoined Leeds the season after to become the Under-18s' manager before moving back to Middlesbrough.
