A NICKY DUCKLING hat-trick helped Boro Ladies come back from two goals down to claim their first win of the season.

Marrie Wieczorek's team conceded twice in the first in the opening 20 minutes and lost keeper Amy Bullen to an ankle injury.

But skipper Amy Laville had a fine game after taking over in goal.

Leeds took the lead after just five minutes when Jay Moore crashed a 25-yard free-kick into the top corner.

Laville then made an incredible scooping save off the line but was powerless to stop Sarah Dobby from ramming in the loose ball.

But Cutler picked out the top corner and Duckling scored twice in quick succession with half-time approaching to turn the game on its head.

Boro dominated after the interval and Duckling completed her hat-trick by lashing home from 20 yards after the Leeds defence had only half-cleared a Becky Cartwright corner.

Stacey Cutler's belting free-kick and a well-worked fifth from Charlotte Dinsdale added to Duckling's heroics as Boro got off the mark.

"It's a relief to be up and running," said Marrie. "We need to get out of the habit of starting slowly but it was a great comeback from the girls and it showed a lot of character."

Boro made their longest trip of the season on Sunday when they visit Caernarfon.
