George Delighted With Season Finale
GEORGE BOATENG was one of the few who didn't get on the scoresheet at the weekend but was delighted to finish the season with a bang.
The Dutch international has had a difficult year but produced some of his very best football over the past three months.
"I'm absolutely delighted for the team and the fans.
"We've had so many unlucky things happen to us throughout the season and for some reason everything went in.

"The game had it all. Every shot, deflection or miss-hit seemed to go in, not to mention two magnificent strikes from Stewey and Fabio."
Andreas Isaksson had a day to forget in the Manchester City goal but he did produce a world class save to deny Boateng a well earned goal.
"It was a great occasion and a nice day. But for some reason I was the one to have his shot saved.
"The keeper said every person can score today but no George!"

The 32-year-old is looking forward to a well-earned break with his family before coming back to training.
"I'm looking forward to next season but now it is time to relax.
"It has been a hard season both emotionally and physically. We need to have a think about things and enjoy the holidays."
