BORO U-18's won away to at Barnsley with goals from Jon Harris and Gary Martin, writes SAM LOUGHRAN.
Martin Scott's side extended their unbeaten run to an impressive 11 games with a 3-2 win following a brace from Martin and a well-taken headed goal from Harris.
The first half was one of few chances as Boro couldn't break down the resistance of the South Yorkshire outfit, despite their best efforts.
The opening 45 minutes ended in stalemate, with neither side able to break the deadlock.
The second half was in complete contrast to the first, as Gary Martin set the U-18's on their way to victory with a superbly taken goal in the opening stages.
Barnsley were not to be outdone and replied almost immediately following a well worked set piece which squared proceedings.
The home side were not on level terms for long, as Martin grabbed his second of the game to send Boro back into the lead.
An individual moment of class from David Hillerby allowed Jonathan Harris to head home from close range, doubling his team's advantage.
Barnsley did manage to grab a consolation goal with almost the final kick of the game, but Boro were not to be denied the three points.
