Derby U18s 0 Boro U18s 1
RICHARD SMALLWOOD'S late volley gave Martin Scott's men all three points after a dominating performance.
For the first time this season Boro named an unchanged line-up as they looked to build on the 3-2 win over Leeds the previous week.
And with Nathan Porritt leading the line, the visitors looked threatening from the very start, as they enjoyed the majority of possession.
Indeed Boro thought they should have been given an early penalty when Shaun Saiko looked to have been clearly brought down in the box but the referee waved away the appeals.
Jason Steele had to be at his very best when making an excellent double save denying a one-on-one opportunity for a Derby striker.

In strong winds Boro continued to dominate in the second half with winger James Cronesberry cutting inside a shooting into the side netting.
Captain Smallwood was next to threaten when he had his shot saved after excellent link up play with Porritt, while Jonathan Franks just headed wide.
But Boro were not to be denied when Smallwood volleyed home in the 88th minute converting substitute Gary Martin's pin-point cross sparking wild celebrations from the team.
BORO: Steele; Corker, McCardle, Saiko, Bennett, Robinson, Franks, Smallwood, Porritt, Hillerby, Cronesberry (Martin 75). Unused sub: White.
