Boro Reserves 1 Blackburn Rovers 1
MAN of the moment Ben Hutchinson scored a sensational late leveller to keep Boro Reserves' unbeaten start to the season going, writes NATHAN JUDAH at the Riverside.
Boro had found themselves a goal down at the break following a Marceo Rigters strike but Hutchinson followed up his first team debut goal with another to earn his side a point.
Steve Agnew named Ross Turnbull in the starting line-up after the goalkeeper was released from his loan spell at Cardiff City.
Blackburn threatened early on and looked dangerous through Tony Kane and Andrew Taylor and it was Kane's cross that was met by Rigters to put the visitors ahead after ten minutes.
Graeme Owens briefly threatened for the home side but Rigters was running the show and was unlucky not to grab his second when his fierce 20-yard drive thundered off the stanchion with Turnbull well beaten.

Alan Judge also went close for the visitors but Boro thought they had claims for a penalty when Herold Goulon appeared to be held back inside the area.
Turnbull had to be at his very best to deny Keith Treacy while Hutchinson missed a golden opportunity just before the break, the Nottingham-born forward only managing to connect with a tame shot into Gunnar Nielsen's midriff from a Jonathan Franks cross.

Richard Smallwood replaced Herold Goulon at the interval and Boro started the second half a lot brighter, Stephen Thompson's 20-yard strike just going wide.
But Rovers were still the more threatening with Taylor and Bruno Berner both being denied by excellent tackles from Rhys Williams.
Conditions became increasingly worse for the players as driving rain continued to fall.
Kane again went close for the visitors, as did Thompson for the home side, but his shot was well saved by Nielsen.
But as hopes faded for Boro the weekend's goalscorer Ben Hutchinson did it again, with four minutes remaining.
Latching on to a cross that Rovers had failed to clear, he got away from his marker before releasing an excellent half-volley from the edge of the area into the roof of the net, sparking celebrations from the players and bench.
