ROSS TURNBULL has been recalled from his season-long loan at Cardiff City as Boro look for cover for injured goalkeeper Brad Jones.

Jones was injured late in Boro Reserves' 3-1 win over Everton at the Riverside on Tuesday night and wil be out for between six and eight weeks. 

England U21 international Turnbull is available for the squad to travel to Manchester City on Sunday. 

The agreement was cancelled by mutual agreement between the clubs and the 22-year-old Newton Aycliffe-born goalkeeper cannot now return to Ninian Park to complete the loan.
