Which Was Your Top Idol?
MORE than 10,000 Boro supporters took part in a poll to choose the club's Top Idol home shirt for 2008-09.
Over the course of eight days fans voted by Internet, text and postcards for their favourite from three designs produced by Boro's Italian kit manufacturers Errea.
When polling closed at midnight on Friday all three shirts - each featuring Boro's iconic white chest band - had received strong support.
However, Boro will not release details of the winning shirt until it is ready for launch so supporters must wait to see if they voted for the winner.
Neil Bausor, the club's Chief Operating Officer, said: "We were delighted with the positive response we received from supporters.
"All three shirts were popular and each received a high number of votes and it would appear that all were the subject of much debate among supporters.
"Many fans took the time to contact the club with their views on this year's choice of shirts and possible future designs.
"We will certainly take their feedback on board for consideration in future seasons.
"Given the high numbers that took part and the views expressed, it is clear that Boro fans feel passionately about the club's identity. We were delighted to be able to consult them in this way."

Fans who took part in the poll will be entered into a prize draw to win a trip for two to the Italian cities of Parma and Milan.
The winner's prize will include a two-night stay in Italy, all travel and expenses, and a visit to Errea's factory to see the shirts being finished for transportation to Teesside.
Details of the winner will be announced in the near future.
