Graeme Goes Back To School
BORO'S Graeme Owens will go back to school today as he joins year six pupils from Pennyman Primary School at Middlesbrough Football Club's Study Support Centre.
Pupils have been taking part in the Playing for Success scheme, an eight-week after-school literacy support programme.
Exciting winger Owens will meet the group as a reward for their hard work and commitment. As part of his visit, the 19-year-old will be filmed and interviewed by the pupils in the club's press room.
Playing for Success is in its 10th year nationally and is recognised as one of the most successful out-of-hours learning projects.
The scheme uses football to motivate pupils to improve their literacy, numeracy and ICT skills in a fun and challenging environment.
