The groundbreaking screensaver delivers all the latest club information, news, fixtures, player profiles, match reports, history, stats and photographsdirect to the fans' PCs.
The service allows supporters to keep up to date with current club activity as well as providing them with trivia, stats and images from the past.
Once installed, the screensaver's multimedia slides are automatically updated on to your PC, meaning fans can then sit back and enjoy as fresh content is added by the club on a regular basis.
Matt Emmerson, Middlesbrough FC's Marketing Manager, said: "We wanted to give our fans something that they would really value but which didn't cost them a penny.
"The screensaver also allows the club to communicate directly with our supporters in a timely manner and in a way that's non-intrusive."
The slides show for 15 seconds each, featuring a mix of information and a small number of specially selected adverts which finance the service.
Once installed, the multi-slide, animated screensaver will activate only when your PC snoozes. The feature will not activate when the PC is in use.
Matt added: "The screensaver contains contemporary information about the club as well images and information from the past which celebrates the rich history of the Boro.
"There are some photos that we've dug out from the archives which, as far as we are aware, are not currently in the public domain so some of the content is truly exclusive.
"We believe that the current content is something Boro supporters young and old will find appealing but this is by no means the final product.
"We urge fans to make suggestions so that we can really tailor the content of the screensaver to reflect what they want."
Setting up the service is easy and takes less than five minutes, with step-by-step instructions available by clicking on 'screensaver' on the left hand side of the club's official website at mfc.co.uk.
