ANOTHER Scot and another former Newcastle United player who won three League championship medals and three FA Cup runners-up medals in the 1900s and one winners' medal in 1910.

Transferred to ambitious non-league Huddersfield for £675 in December 1910 and joined Southern League QPR as manager in 1913.

After his spell as Boro boss Howie became a tobacconist in the London area. He died aged 85 in January 1963.
